I tried everything, this would literally mean thousands of dollars down the drain, but to no avail, no program, system, or software could get me my data. After reinstalling my OS and other software I was not able to transfer my files back to my machine, neither of my optical drives would see the data on the disk I created. After cleaning the virus, I backed up my files in Windows XP using the "Files and Settings Transfer Wizard" onto CD, all seemed to go well, I could see data being written to the disk.

Software that has one function only (and is more expensive it seems) can provide you with a 'One button' approach.Please follow up via email, it is so much easier. This is not going to change anymore I'm afraid.As an engineering tool with *many* functions it's not easy to assume what the 'user' wants and provide a 'One Button' solution. It has been this way since its conception back in the nineties. If no file systems can be found straight away then IsoBuster suggests to run a scan via a dialog (and text in the ListView) but if a valid file system is found (like in your case) then you need to initiate extra scans to do some drilling / carving yourself to (hopefully) find the data that somehow disappeared and that you're after.> Perhaps the UI could have that more clearly labelled with a button?Everything is right-mouse-click triggered.
